Our mobile app helps customers find a frame that truly fits their face and style, offers realistic virtual try-ons and easy sharing with loved ones and lets them update their lens prescriptions whenever needed.

Tribe has recently been acquired by Mister Spex, Europe’s largest online optician. As such, your work has the chance to directly impact the lives of millions of people.



Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Head of Operations is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing business operations across Tribe which includes but are not limited to defining company strategy, managing partnerships, overseeing customer operations and support, leading recruitment, and overseeing people and culture.

The Head of Operations will:

  • Oversee the design and management of customer operations and service activities.

  • Manage relationships with partners and vendors.

  • Ensure operational readiness of Tribe proposition.

  • Build a digital and physical supply chain for 3D-printing.

  • Lead people & culture initiatives and define policies that promote company culture and vision.

  • Help to hire exceptional people and grow the company threefold within the next year.

  • Join the leadership team (CEO, CTO) in managing budgets and accounts.

  • Lead additional initiatives at the discretion of the CEO.


We encourage an open feedback culture in which all team members share and discuss feedback continuously. In addition, personal development goals for each team member will be defined jointly and reviewed regularly. For the Head of Operations, personal development goals will be defined and reviewed informally with the CEO on a monthly basis. Performance will be reviewed more formally on a quarterly basis by the CEO in conjunction with Board Members as is appropriate.




  • Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university.

  • 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in strategy consulting or in operations at a top-notch consumer technology company – additional startup experience is a plus.

  • You are an analytical, structured, and process-driven person who tests and adapts strategies continuously based on data.

  • You drive strategic projects forward in time and with the desired impact.

  • A strong grasp of commercial and operational business management.

  • High strategy and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and networking skills.

  • You are fluent in German and English.
