UX Designer

Therefore, we are building the world’s fastest and most reliable way to buy prescription glasses with nothing but your smartphone. We are literally putting the optician in your pocket so you can order a new pair of glasses from wherever you are.

Our mobile app helps customers find a frame that truly fits their face and style, offers realistic virtual try-ons and easy sharing with loved ones and lets them update their lens prescriptions whenever needed.

Tribe has recently been acquired by Mister Spex, Europe’s largest online optician. As such, your work has the chance to directly impact the lives of millions of people.



We are building the mobile eyewear app for Mister Spex, Europe’s largest online optician. This is your opportunity to be a centerpiece for the successful delivery of our iOS and Android eyewear mobile apps for Mister Spex. As our UX Designer, you will:  


  • Interview many and many customers to guide us in building the right app, the app that delights our customer

  • Be our customer interview expert, training and motivating all the Product and Engineering team members to interview customers

  • Define and implement user research methods and testing

  • Create personas through user research and data

  • Develop wireframes and prototypes based on user needs

  • Work with UI designers to implement attractive designs

  • Collaborate with Designers and Developers to create intuitive, user-friendly software

  • Evaluate user feedback and transform it into meaningful improvements

Minimum qualifications:  

  • German fluency: most of our customers are German speakers.

  • Customer obsession. You must have the customer as the center of your job. You must start for customer needs and work backward.

  • Proven track record of delivering products loved by users.

  • Can be experienced in a UX design position from a top-notch consumer technology company.

  • Can be leading the UX design work in a successful consumer technology startup.

  • Keenness to roll your sleeves up, get involved and help us build a successful product and attractive culture.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences  


Preferred qualifications:  

  • Track record of working at successful fast-scaling start-ups.

  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas, including product management, UI design, user research, or marketing.

  • Experience in collaborating with senior leadership; comfortable in business and technical discussions with executive stakeholders
